A vibrant environmental initiative was organized jointly by Changunarayan Municipality–2, the Nepal Red Cross Society (Duwakot Sub-Branch), the Institute for Social and Environmental Transition–Nepal (ISET-Nepal), and other local partners to celebrate World Environment Day 2025 under the theme #BeatPlasticPollution. As part of the event, 300 native and climate-resilient saplings were planted along the stretch from KMC Hospital to Faidhoka Temple, supporting biodiversity conservation and strengthening urban climate resilience. The celebration also featured a blood donation programme and an ongoing clean-up campaign, both of which contributed to improved waste management, enhanced community health, and better disaster preparedness within the municipality.
