A one-day training on the preparation and use of organic pesticides was successfully held in Chagunarayan Municipality, Ward No. 2, Duwakot. The training brought together 25 local women farmers, mainly from the Laxmi Narayan Women Group and Milijuli Women Group. Participants actively learned practical techniques to make and apply organic pesticides, gaining hands-on experience that can help them grow healthier vegetables while reducing dependence on chemical inputs.
The initiative aimed to empower women farmers by strengthening their skills, promoting sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices, and supporting long-term financial growth through better crop production. ISET-Nepal and DCA Nepal have been consistently supporting such initiatives through NEXUS+ activities, encouraging communities to adopt environmentally friendly practices while building local capacities for resilient livelihoods.
