Mason Training
ISET- Nepal in partnership with Training Center Nepal (TCN) conducted seven days masons training from 11 to 17 February at ISET Nepal office premise. The training aimed to enhance the capacity of masons on safety elements to multi hazard risks in urban areas. Nineteen masons from Project Wards (Number 10, 12 and 31 of Kathmandu and Ward number 2, 9 and 11 of Lalitpur) participated. The selection of masons were done on November 2019 in an assessment workshop, which shortlisted masons qualified for the training. The seven-day training was followed by skill test examination carried out by CTEVT (18th and 19th February 2020). Examiners from CTEVT, visited the training venue and took practical examination and verbal examination of each mason. The trained-masons is expected to work in close coordination with respective ward office for effective implementation of building code.
