Validation workshop of vulnerability and capacity Assessment

Safer Cities Project conducted ward level workshop for the validation of vulnerability and capacity assessment (VCA). Project has developed VCA report of Kathmandu metropolitan city ward 10, 12, 31 and Lalitpur Metropolitan City ward 2, 9 and 11.  Focus group discussion, key informant interview and household survey were carried on to assess the risk and hazards of the ward. To validate the information and data received during the vulnerability and capacity assessment ward level workshop was organized in each of the ward. Elected representatives and CDMC members provide their input. Also urban system analysis tool from draft DRR toolkit was tested during the workshop. Ward DRR plan will be developed and shared at ward from the information’s received during the workshop.
