Utilization, access, availability and safety are the four components of food system. Food security is achieved when food system operates such that all components are included in a level to meet the dietary needs. The study aimed to develop a method for assessing the vulnerability of Nepal’s food system to climate change by examining the use and shortcomings of NeKSAP and included CLIFSI. The study generated a body of information that can be used to design programs to meet local food security needs as well as to serve as evidence to ascertain how households become vulnerable, how they respond to shocks, and what efforts will add value to their responses as they attempt to become food secure.
