Dhaka is the capital, surrounded by rivers and canals and was consensus for “city to make accessible to trade and habitation”. There was extreme growth in population twice, one during colonial period for the business purpose and next after independency for the sake of employment and opportunity. Colonial prejudice transform the riverine city into a land centric city, replaced the waterways with roads and rails which was further boosted by Bengali Zamindar and Marwari businessman. Dhaka suffered from economic and environmental insecurity, traffic congestion, poor condition of public toilet and solid waste management, polarized politics, biasness, gap increment between the classes. Beside such consequences, it contributed a lot from the readymade garment for the country economy.
