Water commons and Trans-boundary Rivers:

This report is an outcome of water commons research conducted by Institute for Social and Environment – Nepal (ISET- Nepal) in the partnership with Actionaid. This report explored water commons in the context of the country`s agreement with India on the Koshi, Gandak and Mahakali rivers. This study examined how the projects affected livelihoods of the riparian communities in terms of water use and disasters risk management, civic action initiated by riparian communities and highlight issues of displacement, compensation and inundation.
