Adaptive Capacity and Livelihood Resilience

Adaptation is perhaps, the single most mechanism human society uses to respond to the change and the impacts that has on basic livelihood systems. The focus of this research was on flood, drought and climate variability along with the factors that governs the adaptive capacity in wider array of situations. The result from this research are intended to contribute both to the identification of practical mechanisms for linking disaster mitigation with development and to a larger understanding of adaptive process and their implications for abilities of societies to respond to climate change and complex emergencies.
