Tracking Adaptation & Measuring Development

Posted on: 2012-10-01

This research focuses on gathering evidence on main climate risks and priorities for national climate change responses (CC Policy documents, Implementation plan, NAPA etc). It also aims to assess gaps of national climate risk assessments and further collect information on ‘adaptation-related’ interventions & investments building on the initial data gathered by IIED. This includes map coverage and correlation to available climate vulnerability and poverty incidence data. Examination of M&E systems currently applied to climate adaptation interventions and investments (methodologies behind the M&E systems, gaps as regards TAMD elements) is also the part of this study. In addition, this study will carry out appraisal of national statistics systems and equivalent programmes with large data sets to identify data sources for developmental parameters – DRR M&E, monitoring of climate variability.
