Strengthening people’s perspective on water commons in South Asia

This study generated qualitative evidence on the impact on riparian communities on poverty reduction, livelihoods, access to benefits, floods, displacements from projects such as hydropower, irrigation, embankment, and dams. Investigation of water governance and the role of local communities were also part of this study. The study identified specific campaign and advocacy issues at basin level and assess policies that guide Koshi, Gandak and Mahakali river basins. Action Aid funded this project.
