Workshop on Exploring Systemic Linkages: Water and Food Security in Peri Urban, Kathmandu

A workshop was held in ISET-Nepal office on February 24, 2012 where Professor Ashutosh Shukla, Mr. Rajesh Sada and Ms. Anushiya Shrestha of Nepal Engineering College spoke on water security in peri-urban South Asia. They focused on water problem, adaptation and possible solution. They discussed how people from different gender and ethnic group are affected by water scarcity and how this problem is forcing people to use water from polluted river. They explained different water crisis scenario in peri-urban regions of Kathmandu namely Lubhu, Dadhikot, Matatirtha and Jhaukhel.
